the cub raid

The scars of the fight with the unknown army are still visible as the gnolls are still licking Their wound and trying to rebuilding their village. they already managed to improve their walls but the village itself wasn’t at any state of rebuilding. Some houses still had to be demolished and rebuild, but the dry season didn’t give them the mud they needed to rebuild. Luckily enough managed most of the gnoll’s to recover from their wounds and started to pick up their daily live and tray to recover their combat skills. Without a warning does a second assault on the village happen. The gnoll’s scrambled together to fight back and notice the they were fighting a completely different force. Sand elves are trying to raid the village but the small force of gnolls seems to do to stronger of the sand elves and they slowly retreated. The gnolls wanted to set a statement by defeating this force till the last man to show that they will not take defeat evens when they are weakened. As the frond moves further and further away from the village does a second force of sand elves suddenly over run the village and managed to corner the remaining gnoll’s. the sand elves knew that they have to handle quickly and gather as many of the gnoll children as they could get. They only toke those that are too young to properly fight back. The remaining gnoll’s watched with pain in their heart how their children where gather like cattle. When the news reached the front line that the villages was being raided by a second force did most of the gnolls turn back to the village only to find a hand full of captured and killed sand elves. A group of gnolls where send after the sand elves but they were gone. Tracks leaded the gnolls to the ure river but from that point did every track simply disappear in to the water. Only 1 or 2 of the young gnolls managed to escape the sand elves and where recovered by the chasing tribe members but all the other where lost. This was another heavy setback for the tribe that left most of the members furious. A pit was quickly constructed with a few hyenas in it. the captured sand elf where interrogated and f the answer didn’t please the queen where the sand elves thrown in to the pit to be eaten alive by the hyenas. The last 2 of the sand elves managed to come through to the queen that they didn’t know what the plans where or where the young gnolls where brought to. Out of gratitude does the queen allow the 2 sand elves to go free but they where striped from anything. The queen knew that the sand elves would fall victim to wild animal or slavers and they didn’t have a thing to protect them self with. Evens that the sand elves where able to get so many young gnolls was the casualty numbers still too high on the side of the sand elves to not evens think about a second raid attempt. Most of the kidnapped gnolls found them self sold as slave soldiers and  scouts some other found them self in a evens unluckier position as they needed to breed more of their kind to be sold as strong and fearsome slave.
